I be Annie Laurie. Me father chose to christen me Anne in honor of his mother. Me mother, being not overly fond of the woman, insisted on also naming me Laura. What me Mum did not know (when she was being so bloody stubborn) was that one day I would marry Michael Lawry (God rest his soul) and ever after be forced to carry the name of Annie Laurie Lawry. Now you may call me Annie Laurie or you may call me Annie Lawry, but please do not call me Annie Laurie Lawry. It maketh me feel the fool. (Which in soothe I find quite enjoyable, but it doth greatly anger his wife.) I have been widowed from me dear Michael (God rest his soul) for nigh 10 years. I live in me wee cottage with me cats, dogs, birds and cousin Maggie. (I've never been able to turn away a stray) I have been accused of being a bit of a gossip but that's only because people have misunderstood the very important information that I sometimes pass on. I am the Stafforshire baker and am proud to be known for having the "Best Buns In Town"!!
(Patricia Hulon was born and raised in Michigan and has been singing and acting in Michigan, Illinois, Maryland and Virginia for 30 years. She is the pianist at her church, a cast member of the Virginia Renaissance Faire and was proud to be a longtime member of The Frederick Chorale in Maryland. "I'm thrilled to be singing with Chris and Mel in Hither, Dither and Yon", she says. Pat lives at Lake Anna with her husband Andy, daughters Jess and Sarah and their three dogs, two cats, horse, ferret and bird)

Mad Maggie was created at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire. Once given her name and occupation, Mad woman, Maggie created herself a partner who is always loyal and never asks questions. Richard, her dragon, is always with Maggie and continues to be a steadfast companion through rain and sun. He has never missed a day of work and continues to drag as a good dragon should. Maggie is always in search of Barry. Many years ago, Barry left Maggie on their wedding day with Lady Barry. Barry's horse kicked Maggie in the head and she has never been the same since. Maggie continues to hold onto her love for Barry and as it seems she will always be in search of her true love.
(Melinda has been involved in Renaissance faires for eleven years. She started at the Great Lakes Medieval Faire in Ohio where she first played a Mud Beggar, then became Mad Maggie. She moved to Virginia where she played Mad Maggie at the old Virginia Renaissance Faire, and then became involved with the New Virginia Faire. Melinda has also been involved in community theatre, as well as playing Queen Elizabeth at the National Theatre and Mary, Queen of Scots at the North Carolina Renaissance Faire. Melinda resides in Virginia with her husband and four cats.)

Mistress Moire is a tavern owner by trade but what she really likes to do is drink with her friends and sing. The more she drinks, the more she sings. Her father had no sons so he left the family tavern/inn to Moire. Of course it is named for the family, therefore, Moire Slipidons tavern is called "The Slipidon Inn". She serves good food but even better ales, stouts and, of course, rum. She is partial to those patrons who come and stay all night. If you're in need of a drink or a bed, Moire is sure to give you some. Uh, sheets and blankets that is. Annie Laurie is so frequently there that Moire gives her "Frequent Frolic" discounts and Mad Maggie, well, it's hard to know whether you'll find her inside or in the trash bin behind the Inn. Come and visit anytime and you're sure to leave with a smile on your face and a song on your lips. La! La! La! La! La!
(Chris Horning is a native Virginian and has been singing on stage since the age of 3. Her singing experience started, as so many do, in her home church singing her first solo to a congregation of 350. She was so small at the time that her pastor had to lift her onto the railing that ran across the front of the sanctuary in order for the congregation to see her. She's been singing ever since in numerous venues up and down the East Coast. She enjoys her music and acting which she has been involved with since High School. Chris is very excited about being involved with two such talented people as Melinda and Pat. Chris lives in Virginia, still, with her husband, Dave, and son, Kit. She also enjoys her small farm on which she raises Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, rabbits and ducks. Her managerie also includes two dogs and several cats.)
